I think you’ve just given us the perfect AU setting ;o) I WANT THIS IN A FIC! Tom being all “helpful” around his and Sybil’s cottage ;o) yummy

AU? What do you mean AU? Clearly after Sybil had the baby they moved into a little cottage on the estate that was handy to the hospital and had a lovely little room that faces the sun which Tom sets up as his study so he can work from home to care for their child(ren) as he writes for his new paper, attempting to educate the normal English people on the situation in Ireland.

And in winter they’re delivered a load of firewood but half the time the logs aren’t split (because Lord Grantham’s never had to light a fire in his life so what does he know when he sends it over) and Tom had to buy an axe the first time it happened and he’ll take a day (and his shirt) off to get it all done at once and Sybil started off helping him by piling up the chopped pieces but now she just gets a nice cup of tea and sits back to enjoy the view.

When they return to Ireland she deliberately orders unsplit wood and Tom catches on rather quick but he doesn’t really mind. (In fact most of the time he has to take a break halfway through because she just can’t wait…)

imagine how much tougher it would be to get out of it if you had your own Tom Branson? ;o)

Imagine how much nicer it would be if I had my own Tom Branson to help me with the firewood. He could help me load it onto the trailer (it’s heavy work), then he’d help me chop it too and he might get a little hot doing it so he’d take of his shirt and then there’d be arms. Also it’s raining so he’d get all wet as he chopped too and I’ll stop now…

My bed is so lovely and warm but I have to get up and get firewood in case we do get snow tonight.
